KBIA Instructors, anyone that’s an athlete (all you runners, martial artists, tennis, football, even rock climbing 😉 ANYTHING – this guys is a WONDERFUL ‘Warm Up’ to any activity, any sport or just a great exercise to do for 1-3mins when you get up from your work desk all still.
Beginners to exercise; revisiting basic (non loaded) movement patterns is essential
Getting up and off the ground is an essential motion; once you lose this👆 you significantly lessen your quality of life!!?
Don’t AGREE? Let’s look at our grandparents as case studies — very often it’s the lack of motion they have given up over the years that hinders their quality of life (not lack of strength, flexibility or even cognitive response)
THINK ABOUT IT! I’ve trained with masters in their 70’s, 80’s 90’s that can move freely in this area (think Helio Gracie, Guro Dan and countless others) — this is an essential part of their program. In my time in China, Japan, SouthEast Asia, Middle East and the more untouched parts of Europe I see the same 👆longevity routines and they all involve this 👆🏿👆🏾👆🏻
And putting this into your warmUps is far (FAR) more beneficial then running in place, doing all those crazy jumps or anything else that’s fancy and cool —
USE THIS:
- 1min get ups as a warm up to exercise
- Or (I love) 3mins
- Then add the Kb swings, the body building stuff, the runs, the bag work, the basketball game, the heavy lifts — whatever your ❤️ heart and your program desires 😉
