Jahan Marcu, PhD
Jahan is based in Jersey City, NJ and began his journey to become a certified trainer with Dasha Anderson. Dasha’s approach of leveraging the science of kettlebells appealed to Jahan’s academic background. Dr. Jahan Marcu received his Ph.D from Temple University’s Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. Dr. Marcu integrates scientific principles and martial arts philosophy into a holistic approach to fitness and training. In addition to kettlebells, Dr. Marcu crosstrains in jiu jitsu, muay thai kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do, yoga, wing chun (Siu Lum Tao) and tai chi. In addition to KBIA Level II instructor certification, his qualifications include: being accepted into the apprentice program at Anderson’s Martial Arts Academy, National Academy of Sports Medicine certification (in process), and Tai Chi Institute instructor certification (in process). Dr. Marcu loves sharing the latest research studies and fitness principles, simplifying these complex topics with humor and insight.
